Onwards to Sheffield Memorial Park. Here we had lunch in the Sun before taking in the three battlefield cemeteries close by. One hundred metres on from the largest one we laid down to get the German Machine Gunners view of the attacking Pals - sobering. While taking in the last cemetery the local farmer came to introduce himself and tell us that the Durand group had been exploring German tunnels that had suddenly appeared in his farmyard. Sadly he couldn't be persuaded to let us take a look!
