The Old Front Line Tour 2012 - Day Three

First stop (on our way to the Thiepval visitors centre) was the Lonsdale CWGC and Authuille Wood behind, where you can still make out the British font line trenches amongst the shell holes that faced the Leipzig Redoubt.

Then onward to the Pozieres CWGC and it's memorial wall to the missing of 1918 including Lt. Col. Elstob famous for his last stand on Manchester Hill west of St Quentin in March 1918.
