The Old Front Line Tour 2012 - Day Three

Next to the London CWGC opposites the notorious High Wood. An interesting concentration cemetery containing burials from every phase of the Somme battle as well as a significant number from WW2 buried at the very rear. These included a mixture of casualties from the retreat to Dunkirk and bomber crews.

Outside on the verge Dave unearthed a solitary unfired .303" round. Just think, that's being lying there for nearly a century waiting for someone to find it .........
